- Columns– The Classical order of columns are defined by five types of columns. We chose to print Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders, they are the three orders of architecture.
- Doric order– simple circled capitals (the tops of columns), most common order in vermont.
- Ionic order– have scrolls, fluted columns.
- Corinthian– fluted columns, elaborate capitals, and acanthus leaves and scrolls
- Entablature– sits on top of the columns. Increasingly more elaborate depending on column. Doric the least elaborate to corinthian has the most elaborate entablatures.
- Sashes(fanlights)- the curved windows over doors or windows
- Federal style– Based off of greek architecture
- Decorative motifs– urns and swags
- Dentals– rectangular blocks that are placed in a row.
- Lintel– a horizontal element at the top of a window or door, ours has splayed (angled) ends and a keystone
